Analysis of the EU Parliament, Council's GDPR procedural rules amendments

Austrian privacy and digital rights group NOYB has published an analysis of the separate European Parliament and Council of the European Union amendments to the European Commission's additional procedural rules, which are designed to increase cooperation between member state data protection authorities (DPAs) regarding the enforcement of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The new harmonisation law is intended to provide clearer dispute resolution mechanisms and harmonise certain procedural rules and rights.

The analysis includes a video presentation; a PDF version of the presentation is also available. 

In conclusion, NOYB views the Parliament's version as taking a "cleaner high-level approach" that removes certain unnecessary steps.
