ODNI issues implementation directive on EU-US data privacy redress

The Office of the US Director of National Intelligence has published a directive for implementing the signals intelligence redress mechanism, which is being created under the proposed EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The ODNI explained that the directive: "Governs the handling of redress complaints regarding certain signals intelligence activities." Furthermore, it outlines: "The process by which qualifying complaints may be transmitted by an appropriate public authority in a qualifying state." The directive also lays out the role of the ODNI Civil Liberties Protection Officer with a given complaint.
