Goverment disregards Court of Appeal's immigration exemption ruling

Both houses of parliament will consider the government's proposed legislation concerning amendments to the immigration exemption in Schedule 2 of the Data Protection Act 2018. A Court of Appeal ruling gave the government until the end of January to introduce legislation amending the exemption to be compatible with its findings. However, the ORG believes the proposed legislation continues to undermine the data rights of immigrants.
