Ahead of the second reading of the Data Protection and Digital Information (No.2) Bill (DPDIB) in Parliament on 17 April 2023, the Open Rights Org (ORG) has published a policy briefing for MPs. Within the document, the ORG highlights its concerns over the "dangerous path" it fears the country is heading down due to the provisions contained within the DPDIB that will weaken the UK data protection regime and threaten EU adequacy.
