EU should adopt privacy-focused tech innovation to boost competitiveness

The European Tech Alliance (EUTA) is advocating for an ambitious EU tech strategy to boost Europe's tech competitiveness both at home and overseas. The EUTA believes that with the right conditions, EU tech companies can enhance Europe's resilience, protect and empower consumers, and promote European values such as transparency, the rule of law, and innovation to the rest of the world. The strategy should empower digital companies to grow and unlock the power of data by promoting the use of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) and pseudonymisation to deliver services and products that respect consumer privacy.
