MPs warn Government' unduly influencing' ICO appointment

A cross-party group of MPs have written an open letter to culture secretary Oliver Dowden, expressing their concern that the government seeks to appoint a candidate to lead the Information Commissioner's Office who will actively reduce privacy protection instead of upholding them. Last week the Open Rights Group outlined similar concerns in an article outlining how the government is attacking your privacy rights.
