Coalition publishes open letter against live facial recognition technology

Privacy International and 30 other civil society organisations have released an open letter urging the Parliament to cease the use of live facial recognition technology by both UK police forces and private companies. The open letter follows the consultation from the College of Policing public on its new national guidance on the technology in England and Wales. Privacy International responded to the consultation in June.
