Apple expecting French antitrust fine over app tracking feature

Apple is expected to receive a fine from the French antitrust regulator next month over its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) feature.  

The French regulator formally charged Apple in July 2023, alleging the company abused its dominant position by implementing discriminatory, non-objective, and non-transparent conditions for user data usage in advertising. In announcing its decision, the regulator is expected to order Apple to cease its anti-competitive practices and will likely impose a fine of up to 10% of the company's global annual revenue.
