The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) repeated its calls from 30 March for regulators to investigate generative AI technologies amidst concerns they could harm individuals. In a letter to members of the CPC network, the BEUC asked the network to "investigate the risks that these AI systems pose to consumers as a matter of urgency, to identify their presence in consumer markets and to explore what remedial action must be taken to avoid consumer harm."
