EU tells Facebook, we make the rules

In a meeting with Mark Zuckerberg on Monday, EU industry commissioner Thierry Breton informed the Facebook CEO it is his company that must adapt to Europe’s standards, and not the other way round. While lobbying the European Union’s regulators in Brussels this week, Mr Zuckerberg provided his own regulatory suggestions. As reported in TechCrunch, it is convenient how Facebook already meets most of the requirements it’s asking authorities to impose on the rest of the tech industry.
