Representatives from European Union member states have agreed the European Commission is to be the “sole authority empowered to enforce” the proposed EU Digital Markets Act. An agreement will be formally ratified on the 25th November. “In order to support the Commission, member states may empower competent authorities enforcing competition rules to conduct investigative measures into possible infringements of obligations for gatekeepers,” an EU document said.
