Public Health Wales data breach of 18,000 COVID-19 patients

A data breach involving 18,105 Welsh patients who tested positive for COVID-19 was accidentally uploaded to a public server briefly in August. In the majority of cases, the information consisted of initials, dates of birth, geographical area and sex, Public Health Wales confirmed. Update: Research Live confirms the Public Health Wales has reported the breach to the ICO who is investigating.
