UK to diverge from EU data protection law

The Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Oliver Dowden, plans to reform UK data protection law now it has left the European Union. The Digital Secretary believes the digital economy will grow if personal information is allowed to move more freely. Dowden said, however, that Britain would not water down data protection.
