Home Office data extraction investigation update

Sky News has revealed that approximately 850 cases are being examined in the ongoing Judicial Review to see if the Home Office has breached data protection laws by extracting data from the mobile phones seized from migrants who crossed the Channel. Personal data extracted by the Home Office included location data, conversation history and photographs.
