Alarm raised TikTok's in-app browser could be keylogging

Following last week's report about how Facebook and Instagram in-app browsers track users' web activities after clicking links in their apps, Felix Krause has raised the alarm over TikTok's in-app browser behaviour. The privacy researcher has identified the social network's iOS app injects keylogging code enabling it to monitor all keyboard inputs. "TikTok iOS subscribes to every keystroke (text inputs) happening on third party websites rendered inside the TikTok app. This can include passwords, credit card information and other sensitive user data."
