IAB Europe TCF decision referred to CJEU

IAB Europe has had its appeal against the Belgian Data Protection Authority (DPA) decision on the Transparency and Consent Framework suspended. At the same time, the Belgian Market Court referred questions to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). The CJEU referral focuses on the definition of joint data controllership and whether user consent signals via the Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) can be considered personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
