Irish DPC Instagram decision expected within weeks

The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) is expected to release its final decision on its complaint against Instagram's handling of children's data in the EU within weeks. DPC deputy commissioner Graham Doyle confirmed the decision has now passed through the dispute resolution process under Article 65 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). "We'll have a decision… either the end of the last week in August or the first week in September. It has to be concluded by the first week in September."
