UPDATE: 161222 - Digiday reports that the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has also made contact with Twitter about the matter. An ICO spokesman said: "The ICO is engaged in dialogue with Twitter's data protection officer and is continuing to assess the potential data protection impacts of any changes to the company and its online services." The UK has just over 19 million active users.
