Spanish DPA bans Worldcoin for 3 months

Spain's data protection authority, AEPD, has ordered Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, to temporarily stop the collection and processing of special categories of personal data as well as the blocking of data already collected. The move comes following several complaints made to the AEPD. The temporary ban has a maximum timeframe of three months.
