The United Nations' International Organization for Migration used Microsoft's open-sourced Synthetic Data Showcase tool in order to help track victims of human trafficking without compromising their privacy. According to the report, Microsoft's application, along with other techniques such as casual inference and complex data visualisation, may also help people who collect data get the appropriate information to decision-makers more quickly.
