1 in 5 attendees at EU DMA workshop failed to disclose industry links

A recent analysis conducted by three NGOs revealed that over 21% of participants at European Union workshops, aimed at regulating major tech companies under the Digital Markets Act (DMA), failed to disclose their affiliations with those companies. The workshops, held last March for each designated gatekeeper, sought to evaluate compliance with the new regulations. Despite being requested to declare any relevant connections, many attendees—including representatives from law firms, lobby companies, trade associations, and think tanks—omitted this information in their applications.
