Meta is being sued for £2.3bn under the 1998 Competition Act for setting an “unfair price” for UK users of Facebook in return for access to the social media service. In related news, a federal judge has ruled that the US Federal Trade Commission can proceed with a breakup lawsuit against Meta, which could force the company to sell Instagram and WhatsApp.
