NHS facial verification app linked to tory donors

Privacy campaigners have concerns about an NHS approved app used to access medical records, book GP appointments and verify vaccine status for overseas travel or entry to events such as football matches. There are concerns about transparency and accountability about how the app collects and stores facial verification data from UK citizens. The contract which NHS Digital awarded in 2019 to iProov has yet to be published on the government website. According to campaigners, there are questions about the relationship between iProov and the government, as well as the data security and data sharing practices.
