Police in need of guidance to use data and AI tech

A study by the Royal United Services Institute (Rusi) claims that the Police urgently need guidelines to ensure their use of data analytics, AI and computer algorithms are developed "legally and ethically" in order to prevent discrimination. In response, the chief of Met Police Cressida Dick defends the use of facial recognition technology, claiming that critics are ill-informed.
