X capitulates on key element of Brazilian banning order

Social media platform X has capitulated over one of the key demands imposed by the Brazilian Supreme Court after the company refused to comply with local laws. X has now agreed to appoint Rachel de Oliveira Conceicao as its legal representative in the country, pay outstanding fines and take down user accounts that the court ordered must be removed.

However, the matter is not completely resolved. The court advised that X has yet to file the correct documentation concerning Rachel de Oliveira Conceicao's appointment as its Brazilian representative.
