Incoming Congress must move forward with ADPPA

In an op-ed for the Hill, National Consumers League Executive Director Sally Greenberg writes the incoming Congress must prioritise passing the American Data Privacy and Protection Act (ADPPA). She said that despite widespread political division, US citizens want better security over their personal data regardless of ideology. Greenberg also noted that while the ADPPA is not a perfect piece of legislation, it does "represent hundreds of hours of communication, compromise, and careful work" and is, therefore, an "important symbol of what can be achieved if elected officials stay focused on helping consumers."
