Journalists not focus of Hancock CCTV probe

Following criticism by the Sun newspaper, after two homes were raided in connection with the former health secretary Matt Hancock CCTV footage, the ICO confirmed her office has a "statutory responsibility" to investigate reports of a data breach. The ICO also stated that she is "passionate about free journalism, the importance of an independent press and I'm also passionate about whistleblowers." Facts must be established to determine if, indeed, the incident was in the public interest.
