A decision in Oxford County Court has found that an Amazon Ring doorbell is in breach of the Data Protection Act 2018 following a complaint from a neighbour. Dr Fairhurst took neighbour, Mr Woodard, to court alleging his mass of CCTV cameras, including an Amazon Ring doorbell camera, amounted to harassment, a nuisance and a breach of data protection.
