Government set to extract NHS data without patient consent

In a move anticipated to prompt a legal challenge, the government plans to share patient-identifiable data extracted from NHS hospital systems on its Palantir technology data platform. NHS England and NHS Improvement have instructed NHS Digital to compile data from the COVID pandemic that can be analysed to reduce waiting times. Patients will not be offered the opportunity to opt out.
