Harvey Nichols notifies customers of personal data breach

High-end British department store Harvey Nichols has notified its customers that their data was exposed in a recent cyberattack. The personal data breach exposed customers' names, phone numbers, email, and home addresses. Passwords and financial details are believed to be unaffected. After receiving letters regarding the incident, several customers expressed dissatisfaction with the news and the tone of the response on X platform.

Despite becoming aware of the breach on September 16, Harvey Nichols did not disclose when the attackers first gained access to the network. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has been made aware of the incident, and the ICO is currently assessing the information provided.
