NDG report: politicians should not take decisions on health data sharing

Among the findings of the National Data Guardian's annual report, citizen juries that consulted on health data identified, "very few jurors wanted decisions about the future of these initiatives to be taken by the minister or organisation accountable for them. Most believed that an independent body of experts and lay people should assess the data sharing initiatives." The jurors were also not supportive of the NHS COVID-19 Data Store set to be awarded to Palantir under contracts without formal competition
