Panasonic suffers cyberattack and data breach

Technology manufacturer Panasonic has confirmed that data on a file server was accessed through detected on the 11th November. The company said it immediately reported the incident to authorities, “implemented security countermeasures,” and is investigating the leak on its own and through a third-party organisation to determine if it “involved customers’ personal information and/or sensitive information related to social infrastructure.”
