Royal Mail owner indicates ransomware attack exceed £10m

Royal Mail's parent company, International Distributions Services (IDS), has disclosed the infrastructure costs linked to the ransomware attack it experienced in January this year. The attack by LockBit had a significant impact on different areas of the business, but the improvements required for the targeted Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre alone would cost £10 million. However, IDS has not provided exact figures for the total costs related to the attack, which are expected to be higher.
