US proposes TLDR law forcing websites to make T&Cs easier to read

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle in the US are considering a new law forcing technology companies to provide users with a summary statement before they opt in to any terms-of-service agreement. The Terms-of-service Labeling, Design and Readability Act, or TLDR for short, will mean legal jargon is turned into something more easily understood by average users. The law will also require providers to disclose data breaches from the last three years and clarify the types of sensitive data that the service collects.
