Met Police remove almost 1,000 names from gangs matrix

The Metropolitan Police have removed the names of 994 subjects off of Scotland Yard’s controversial gangs matrix. At its peak there were nearly 4,000 people on the database, there are now only 2,517 of which 1,087  are in custody. Only six were female, with the majority being black men between 17 and 29.
