Uber trials audio recordings during trips for safety

Uber is trialling an in-app feature in the US that will allow travellers and drivers to record audio during the trip for safety purposes. The audio file is encrypted and stored on the passenger and driver devices. No one else can access the recording unless a safety report is submitted, where it will be decrypted and reviewed by an Uber safety agent.
