Clearview AI expects to have 100B facial images by next year

Clearview AI has informed investors that it is preparing for a massive expansion and could have 100 billion facial images within a year. Clearview’s objective is to ensure “almost everyone in the world will be identifiable”, and that other organisations will utilise its database beyond law enforcement. The company claimed its “index of faces” has grown to more than 10 billion since early 2020, and its data collection system uploads 1.5 billion images per month.
