Twitter denies 235 million accounts hacked from its systems

In a statement, Twitter has denied reports that a trove of 235 million user account details disclosed by hackers was not related to any compromise of the company's IT systems. Instead, Twitter claims the dataset is the same as the one involving reports of 400 million accounts from December, but with all the duplicates removed.
