5-point plan to break down barriers to digital trade

In a speech at London Tech Week, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, the new international trade secretary, will announce the government's five-point plan for digital trade. "The UK must break down unfair or discriminatory digital trade barriers to help British businesses export their world-leading services." 

The five-point plan involves:

  1. Opening digital markets 
  2. Prioritising cross-border data flows
  3. Focusing on consumer and business safeguards
  4. Promoting innovative digital trading systems
  5. Establishing global cooperation on digital trade
