DCMS to announce data protection reforms this month

HRH The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, delivered the Queen's Speech last month, which confirmed plans to reform the UK's data protection regime with the Data Reform Bill. The speech didn't include any details, and we were advised these would be announced in the coming weeks. It seems we won't have long to wait as news of the announcement is included in an annex to the new UK digital strategy, confirming the government intends to publish its response to the data protection regime consultation in June 2022.
