On Tuesday, the Secretary of State for Justice Dominic Raab revealed plans to overhaul the Human Rights Act. The reforms announced by the Ministry of Justice in an open consultation Human Rights Act Reform: A Modern Bill of Rights will have implications for the balance between freedom of expression and privacy. The MoJ said the planned reforms would permit judges to override rulings from the European court of human rights, instead of "blindly" following them.
