UK Government launches AI Opportunity Forum

The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) initiative to promote and increase the adoption of AI in the private sector. Following in the footsteps of the AI Safety Summit last November, the AI Opportunity Forum aims to encourage the use of AI technology to boost productivity, innovation, and growth across various sectors of the economy. The Forum will focus on developing AI skills and culture within UK organisations, along with AI governance, risk management and data availability. Only one in ten companies are currently prepared to use AI technology, and the Forum will work to share best practices and identify measures to improve AI readiness.
