UN reaches draft cybercrime convention agreement

On Friday, 9 August 2024, the United Nations announced that member states have adopted the draft Convention Against Cybercrime, concluding almost three years of negotiations. The Convention aims to establish a universally accepted legal structure to address online fraud, scams, and harassment. It also serves as a guide for countries in investigating and prosecuting cybercrime-related issues.
