Companies working to deanonymise mobile user unique IDs

It has been revealed there is an industry of companies that are focused on reversing mobile user anonymisation. These companies, including BIGDBM and FullContact, take mobile advertising IDs and connect them with personally identifiable information. For example, BIGDBM has indicated they can link the IDs to names, physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses and more. Meanwhile, CPO Magazine reports that a coalition of privacy-focused technology companies are calling for a ban on surveillance advertising.
