Porsche offers drivers privacy controls to limit data collection

German car manufacturer Porsche is to offer customer privacy controls over the car's data collection practices. The move is part of a global strategy to build customer trust. Porsche's plan highlights driver privacy controls and transparency into why the company requires permission for specific information, how long data will be retained, and who the data will be shared with. If drivers consent to their car data being collected, mobile apps will display information about the car's electric charge level and previous trips' statistics.
