The consumer watchdog has revealed in the results of a customer survey that nearly half of all people whose data was stolen by hackers have experience fraud. In response, Which? is calling on the ICO to actually issue intended fines to organisations that breach data protection law, and that the government implement provisions in the GDPR to allow not-for-profit organisations to bring collective redress action on behalf of consumers.
