Davos: Overcoming Barriers to Cross-Border Data Flows

As part of its Annual Meeting in Davos, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has published a paper highlighting the importance of free-flowing data on the global economy. Furthermore, the WEF claims that restricting data flows could have serious implications and "urges global leaders in the public and private sectors to take collective action to work towards a shared understanding" of data flows to facilitate "trust-based data exchanges — through policy mechanisms and concrete tools for businesses." 

The WEF also published articles about how business leaders can prepare for cybersecurity events and how to achieve better governance of connected devices.
