Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is changing its name to just World. As part of this rebranding, the nonprofit is also introducing a new version of its eye-scanning Orb, which now incorporates the latest Nvidia Jetson chipset, features both infrared and visible light cameras, includes an external, removable SD card, and is also 5G-compatible.

Users can add other information, such as passport data, within the World app, potentially enabling phone-based passport verification via NFC.
